Morris Washington, MD, FACS IS A BOARD-CERTIFIED SURGEON SPECIALIZING IN MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY, GASTROINTESTINAL ENDOSCOPY, AND OBESITY SURGERY. Dr.Washington’s numerous credentials include a medical degree from New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York, and a surgical residency and endoscopic fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. Dr. Washington’s prestigious academic appointments include: Director of Surgical Endoscopy, St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center, New York; Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery, New York Medical College; Clinical Instructor of Surgery, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York. Dr. Washington is a member of several esteemed medical associations, such as the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Society for Bariatric Surgery (ASBS) and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Dr. Washington has been published extensively, gives presentations nationwide, and lectures continually in the field of advanced laparoscopic surgery, bariatric surgery and gastrointestinal endoscopy.
RAGUI SADEK, MD, COMPLETED HIS FELLOWSHIP TRAINING IN MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY, ENDOCRINE AND OBESITY SURGERY at Staten Island University Hospital in New York. He also completed a fellowship in critical care and trauma surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. In his last year of residency, he was chief resident of the department of surgery at Staten Island University Hospital. Dr. Sadek graduated from the Alexandria University School of Medicine in Egypt with a doctorate in medicine and surgery. Since 2003, he has published on topics related to laparoscopic surgery and received several clinical certificates and awards.
LISA DOBRUSKIN, MD, SPECIALIZES IN MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY AND OBESITY SURGERY. She completed a fellowship at Westchester County Medical Center/New York Medical College in minimally invasive surgery and obesity surgery. In addition to performing laparoscopic gastric bypasses and laparoscopic adjustable gastric bands, Dr. Dobruskin is experienced in a new procedure for super morbid obese patients, called the gastric sleeve. She completed her surgical residency and internship at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York. Dr. Dobruskin studied medicine at New York Medical College and completed her undergraduate studies at Cornell University in New York. She has published and presented on a number of topics including gastric bands, thoracoscopic surgery and colorectal cancer. She has also conducted research at several universities and medical centers.
JESSICA WOLSKI, MS, PA-C IS A SURGICAL PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT AND BARIATRIC COORDINATOR. Jessica Wolski completed an accelerated dual-degree program obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Biology as well as a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey. Jessica is trained to assist our surgeons in the operating room and has also spent two years in hospitals and medical offices throughout the state of New Jersey where she gained a vast amount of clinical experience. Jessica is certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the state of New Jersey. Her professional affiliations include the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants.
